Dr. Bill Liu is the Chairman and CEO of Royole Corporation. Bill founded Royole in 2012 with several of his Stanford friends with the mission to define the future of information display technologies. The company has grown rapidly and received four series of funding from renowned VC/PE investors within the past 3 years, becoming one of the fastest companies in the world to enter into the Unicorn Club (Billion Dollar Company Club). Royole develops novel display technologies and related electronic products, and provides IP licenses, services and solutions to various industries associated with display applications. In September 2015, Royole announced the world’s first foldable smart mobile theatre, an artful unison of world’s highest resolution mobile displays (3300ppi) and noise-cancelling headphone. In July 2015, Royole started mass production of flexible display modules and the proprietary flexible touch panels in its Shenzhen production campus. In August 2014, Royole introduced the world’s thinnest full-color flexible displays with a thickness of 0.01 mm and a bending radius of 1 mm. Royole is led by a team of experienced technology experts and professionals from many leading research institutions and Fortune Global 500 high-tech companies around the globe. The company operates in several major high-tech regions globally: Silicon Valley, US, Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China.

Prior to founding Royole, Bill worked on R&D at IBM Corporation in New York. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, California, and B.S./M.S. degrees in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing. In recognition of his achievements in founding and leading Royole to thrive in the industry, he was named one of the Top 10 US-China Most Innovative Entrepreneurs by Forbes in September 2015. He also received the Best Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the Donews Annual Award Ceremony in December 2013.
