Dr. Connie Ulasewicz is a Professor at San Francisco State University in Apparel Design & Merchandising where she engages with students on topics integrating with responsible fashion practices within, visual merchandising & promotion,social entrepreneurship, product development and the social psychology of clothing. She is the coauthor of the recently published book Sustainable Fashion: What's Next?. Her research interests include extending the life cycle of sewn products, transparency in supply chain management from fiber to finished product information to the consumer, product reuse, and consumer behavior of millennials – the largest generation in US history now entering their peak spending years.


Dr. Ulasewicz is a leader in the sustainable fashion movement and social entrepreneurship and has over 30 years of garment industry experience managing production, merchandising, and sales. She is a founding member of ESRAP, Educators for Social Responsibility in Apparel Products and PeoplewearSF a San Francisco Bay Area non-profit garment industry association and she is on the board of Global Action Through Fashion.
